I’m writing today regarding the attached notice about Marketplace Subsidies. Some employers you work with may have received this notice or will be receiving it soon.
These notices, as the alert points out, are not necessarily because the Employer failed the “Pay or Play” test with regard to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Instead, the notice is sent to the Employer to verify that the subsidy an Employee applied for is legitimate. The alert lays out the Appeals Process and some Best Practices.
